Rêverie’s new partnership with coucou French classes

So many times during our retreats in France, we have had guests ask us where they can learn how to actually speak French. And while you can spend endless hours on Duolingo learning new vocabulary for animal names and types of food, and while that IS useful, we know you really want to speak ! To sit with a real person and have a conversation and laugh and cry and tell stories !

Well we’ve got good news because that is exactly what Coucou is here for! Founded in New York City a decade ago by cousins Marianne and Léa Perret, Coucou truly is more than just a French school. They’ve created their own curriculum focused on conversation and informal interactions (try finding that in just any old French class I DARE YOU!), and they have so much fun. Language learning should be fun!! And as a former French teacher who did their best to have fun, I can vouch for these guys.

If you’re joining us in France, or if you’ve already been and plan to go back, check out their Introduction to French classes to get a yummy taste of the language and their methods. And if you’ve learned French in the past but you’re feeling a little shy, take their placement test and hop on in where you left off. They even off a trial class that acts as a credit if you choose to continue with them.

I met Marianne years ago through some of my dearest friends in Paris and I can tell you - she is good people. She’s running a killer business with an incredible team and you won’t be disappointed. Who knows, maybe during a retreat, you’ll sit in the front seat and chat with our drivers! Or order your own food and wine at one of our partner restaurants! We can’t wait to see how you parler français.

Bisous! - Julie Belcher, Rêverie co-founder
