Baking retreats in France
Week-long baking escapes throughout France
Rêverie runs small, intentional baking retreats across France -- week-long escapes built around butter, technique, and getting flour on your hands in a French château. Each week is hosted by a real baker with real skills to share. We’ve worked with professional bakers such as: Erin Jeanne McDowell (the "Queen of the Sturdy Pie" and author of The Book on Pie), Liz Prueitt of San Francisco's Tartine Bakery, Kaitlin Guerin of New Orleans' Lagniappe Bakehouse, and Hannah and Zachary Welton of Charleston's Welton's Tiny Bakeshop.
Set in Toulouse, Provence, Sancerre, or the Basque coast, this isn't a rigorous culinary school -- it's curious bakers coming together for a week to learn something new. Depending on the week, you might laminate dough for croissants, build a celebration cake from scratch, or finally crack the perfect gluten-free loaf. Like every Rêverie retreat, the food is unreal, made by our in-house culinary team -- and somewhere in the middle of it all, you'll make actual friends.
